Posture Pal vs. Cervical Pillows:
While cervical cushions are great in aligning the spine in a more natural position while a person sleeps allowing temporary relief, it doesn't address the core problem, correcting poor posture. Cervical pillows do not stretch the chest muscles. Cervical pillows do not allow the back muscles to relax and "shrink" back to a more natural, strong state. Sleeping on the side also pushes a persons shoulders in, maintaining the imbalance of shortened chest muscles and elongated back muscles. Posture Pal also rotates the shoulders, returning the upper body to a more balanced position. Another difference between Posture Pal and cervical pillows is that Posture Pal places the head in a zero percent forward head position, allowing the neck muscles to normalize and allows the joints in the jaw to normalize.
Posture Pal vs. Foot Orthotics
Foot orthotics will help a person to walk in a more natural way provided the person's body is in proper postural alignment to begin with. After a person starts to develop poor postural habits, they need to address FHP, short, tight chest muscles and elongated back muscles. A person needs to stretch the chest and allow the back to stabilize to develop a proper balance, otherwise a person is just addressing the symptoms while not fixing the problem. Posture Pal is the first product to address all the major fundamentals to obtain proper posture with ease.
Posture Pal vs. Exercise Balls
Exercise balls are great for building strength for the athletic type, but not made to address correcting posture.
Posture Pal vs. Posture Harnesses
Postural harnesses force the shoulders back. The body normally fights change when it is forced to do something. Posture Pal actually relaxes a person. When supervised by an expert while stretching, the first thing they say is to "relax". When a person is relaxed, a person will stretch more thoroughly, gently and easier. Stretching while relaxing also allows the body to retrain itself and remember where it is supposed to be more effectively. Posture Pal allows a person this important benefit because it is so comfortable.
Posture Pal also allows the back muscles to relax naturally without the chest muscles overpowering them.
Posture harnesses don't address FHP. A person can pull their shoulders back as much as they want, but if their head isn't in 0 percent FHP, a person will never know the true benefits of proper posture. Posture Pal places a persons head in 0 percent FHP comfortably every time, allowing the body to remember easily and effortlessly where the head needs to be.
Posture harnesses also need to be worn all day, causing discomfort and sometimes rashes. Posture Pal is used in the comfort of a persons own home and at their own convenience. Place the Posture Pal on a bed or couch for a more comfortable stretch or on the floor for a more effective session.
Posture Pal vs. Traction Devices
Traction devices are great at addressing FHP but often times intimidate a patient. Tying a harness to their head and hanging weights to pull the head back is often times not a person's favorite thing to do. Posture Pal allows gravity to pull the head back and rest comfortably in a 0 percent FHP. Traction devices force the head back, not allowing a patient the comfort and necessity to relax. Traction devices also do not address stretching of the chest muscles and relaxing the back muscles, two important factors in properly fixing posture. Often times, traction devices are expensive and complicated. Posture Pal is simple to use and is one size fits all.
Posture Pal vs. Bolsters
Bolsters are great at stretching the chest and allowing the back to relax. But, bolsters do not address FHP, the curvature in the neck or a transition for the lower back. Posture Pal was specifically designed knowing that the human body is a complex machine with different contours and addresses these concerns, allowing for a more comfortable and productive product.
Posture Pal vs. Rolled Up Towel
Posture Pal was invented because the posture harness and rolled up towel didn't help. The rolled up towel easily moves and needs constant attention. The towel also does not give the support needed to stretch the chest or address FHP.
Posture Pal vs. Lumbar Cushions
Lumbar cushions give temporary relief for lower back pain. Again, Posture Pal addresses correcting posture, not providing temporary relief to a common problem.
