Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I sleep on Posture Pal?
Sleeping on Posture Pal is NOT advisable. Sleeping may cause overstretching of the chest and neck muscles!

  2. What if my chin points up while using Posture Pal?
Tuck your chin in or place the included insert (or a folded towel) in the head recess until your body becomes adjusted. Using the insert (or folded towel) will add more comfort, but will not be as effective. Remember that your posture deteriorated over a considerable period of time. You need to give your body time to adjust. Certain muscles will begin to relax while other muscles and tissues will start stretching. Over time, as the body adjusts, the insert (or folded towel) will not be needed.

  3. How do I know if Posture Pal is working?
Some people feel a stretch right away while others will take a few days. Everybody is different, but Posture Pal will stretch the chest region and relax the neck and back muscles.

  4. How long should I use my Posture Pal?
Posture Pal should be used for between 5 and 20 minutes at a time. You can use Posture Pal before going to bed at night, after waking up in the morning or anytime during the day.

  5. Can I use Posture Pal in the car or while sitting?
Posture Pal was designed to be used while lying on your back and making use of gravity. Using it in a chair or while driving is not recommended.

  6. What if my neck hurts while using Posture Pal?
If your neck hurts while using Posture Pal, place the included insert (a folded towel can be used to elevate the head in severe cases) in the head recess. As your body begins to align properly, the insert (or folded towel) will no longer be needed. If pain continues, discontinue use and consult a medical specialist.

  7. Are there different sizes for different people?
No, Posture Pal was designed as a one-size-fits-all cushion, although some people may need to fold a towel and place it in the head recess to ease discomfort and for better alignment of the head. As your body starts to adjust, the folded towel will not be needed.

  8. If I have a major medical condition, can I still use Posture Pal?
Consult your medical specialist before use of Posture Pal or any exercise program.
